Two Illinois High School Students From Notorious Bigoted Town Suspected of Being Behind Incredibly Racist Video

Note: There are two Auburn High Schools that have Trojans as their mascot - Alabama and Illinois. After researching the hoodies worn by the females in the video, we have concluded it is the high school in Illinois. The gray hoodie has the logo of IESA, which is the Illinois Elementary School Association. The logo incorporates the shape of Illinois state. The black hoodie links to Auburn High School. 


Two young girls, who appear to be students of Auburn High School (AHS) in Illinois are going to have quite a rude awakening this morning, as a video they made has gone viral.

When the video was made is a big question. Right now it's unknown if it's recently made or from years past. Regardless, from what we've learned of Auburn the town it's a good time to focus some attention on an almost all-white town that rid itself of African Americans years ago. Clearly, the legacy of that town has affected new generations.

In the video the girls are heard rapping, "We hate ni**ers cause they smell. They don't work. So we should bring back slavery to whip them ni**ers."

They appear to be under the influence, but that's not going to be an excuse, as they will now suffer the consequences of their behavior. A Twitter account used by Auburn High School is already being hit with posts by an enraged public.

The black hoodie worn by the girl on the right clearly shows it to be from Auburn High School. However, it's yet to be confirmed that they are students there.

The internet is wide reaching and doesn't forget. They'll quickly be positively identified and their reputations ruined. Their futures of getting into college or landing a job are now quite shaky.

These two racist girls appear to be residents of a historically racist town. The racial disparity in the town where AHS is located is staggering.

Auburn, Illinois is a town with a population in 2009 of 4,445. Demographics show it to be 98.36% White, 0.30% African American. That works out to 13 African Americans in the whole town facing 4,372 whites.

Auburn is noted as being part of a system that rid towns of black residents, which explains why they have such a low African American presence.

A story on racism says, "...numerous small Illinois towns with few Black residents – such as Alton, Auburn, Thayer, Girard, Pawnee and Taylorville – as well as Evansville, Indiana, did make major efforts to expel Black residents. These expulsions were often enacted through brutal violence and threats made by white supremacist mobs."

An article that ranks Illinois' most racist cities has Auburn at #17 and alleges that a Ku Klux Klan klavern (chapter) was once in the town.

Auburn is noted as being a sundown town in the book Sundown Towns: A Hidden Dimension of American Racism

Sundown towns, also known as sunset towns or gray towns, were all-white municipalities or neighborhoods in the United States that practiced a form of segregation historically by enforcing restrictions excluding non-whites via some combination of discriminatory local laws intimidation, and violence.

As with all high schools, drugs and alcohol are strictly forbidden. As it's a criminal act, whether an arrest is made or not, the girls could be hit with a school violation, if they were indeed under the influence. The school that appears to be connected to the girls specifies that a conduct violation can occur even if not on school grounds.

AHS has an all-white male school board.

The AHS Student Handbook says:

AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR POLICY 

The Board of Education has determined that a safe school environment facilitates learning. Accordingly, it is the policy of the Board of Education that aggressive behavior of students of the District shall not be permitted. 

Aggressive behavior is defined as: Any behavior that may cause physical or emotional harm to someone else and/or urging other students to engage in such conduct. Prohibited aggressive behavior includes, without limitation, the use of violence, force, noise, coercion, threats, intimidation, fear, bullying, or other comparable conduct. 

The main types of aggressive behavior are: Physical (hitting, kicking, grabbing, spitting, etc.) Verbal (name calling, racist remarks, person to person or through use of social media, etc.) Indirect (spreading of rumors, wearing or possessing items depicting or implying hatred or prejudice, etc.) 

Grounds for disciplinary action apply whenever the student's prohibited aggressive behavior is reasonably related to school or school activities, including, but not limited to: 

1. On school grounds before, during, or after school hours or at any other time when the school is being used by a school group; 

2. Off school grounds at a school-sponsored activity or event, or an activity or event which bears a reasonable relationship to school; 

3. Traveling to or from school or a school activity, function, or event; or 

4. Anywhere, if the aggressive behavior may reasonably be considered to be a threat or an attempted intimidation of a student, a visitor, or staff member or an interference with school purposes or an educational function.

Racist "negro babies" sign pops up on building front in Rush Springs, Oklahoma

A building in the town of Rush Springs, Oklahoma is letting their hatred of Democrats and Planned Parenthood known, while invoking "negro babies".

The structure looks like a bar with signs in the window, but we're being told it is not one. Enlarging the photo shows the signs say "Ford" "Open" and such.

Locals have told us that the building is a shop of some sort that isn't a public business. The owner uses it mainly as a gathering place for friends and to tinker on old cars. They also said the city manager and city attorney have investigated, but due to free speech issues their hands are tied.

Rush Springs is the site of a popular annual watermelon festival, which is happening today. It was founded in 1899 and has about 1,300 residents.

Yesterday's raids on the Indigenous by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Mississippi really bothered me, so let me give you some history, a repeated history.

First off, those people are Indigenous, as am I.

Mississippi (along with Tennessee and Alabama) was part of the Chickasaw homeland in the Southeastern Woodlands where we lived after coming from the Land of the Setting Sun, which would be Mexico and Central America. That was over a thousand years ago.

In 1830, the U.S. government came out with the Indian Removal Act of 1830. Whites stole our land and forced us on a Trail of Tears into Indian Territory, present day Oklahoma, beginning in 1832 after the Treaty of Pontotoc Creek. 

That was courtesy of Andrew Jackson, whose portrait hangs in the Oval Office at the Great White Satan's request. 

When that portrait was brought back out by the mad man Trump, we knew the years ahead would get even worse for the Indian. 

In 1832, as part of the Indian removal, the Treaty of Pontotoc Creek took 6,283,804 acres of the remaining Chickasaw homeland in Mississippi and promised an equal land mass in Indian Territory.

Of course, as with all their treaties, the fork-tongued white men broke this promise too. For no sooner than we were settled onto the red dirt, then they began taking that land away too.

At first, no whites wanted Indian Territory. It was bad lands. Only good enough for Indians...send them there, so whites get the best lands across America.

First, they brought in more tribes from the North and West taking our land for them. There were conflicts between the various tribes, but we learned to co-exist and rely on each other.

Many tribal differences were put aside after the whites started building their forts and interring Indians inside their concentration camps, while beasts such as George Armstrong Custer - he spent a lot of time killing  in Indian Territory - attacked our villages and slaughtered women, children, and the elderly. 

Custer and his ilk first assured no warriors were around. They'd have the men come to the fort to talk or their spies would let them know when the men would be out hunting to feed their tribe. 

Then the whites would come in as villages slept and kill.

The coward Custer was known by many names among the Indigenous, including Yellow Hair and Son of the Morning Star, which came from his pre-dawn raids on the Indigenous linked to the Christian term for Lucifer or Satan.

On November 27, 1868, Custer led a pre-dawn raid on a Southern Cheyenne camp
in Indian Territory. It was one of many massacres the Son of the Morning Star conducted.  

In the late 1880's, an unquenchable lust to take and take and take led white settlers to demand more land, so they could farm and ranch. That came after sixty years of the Indigenous working the land to where it could be farmed and grazed. 

The Boomers petitioned their white government to take from the Indians. Once that was approved, the Sooners came in to steal the prime land ahead of the other land grabbers.

The Land Runs would begin in 1889 and little-by-little Indian lands were whittled down to nothing.

I won't even get into what happened, when oil was discovered, only to bring up the evil of white men marrying Osage women, obtaining their land, and then murdering them, so they'd be free to go back to marrying white women.

It should be noted that, as Indians learned to prosper in Oklahoma, the state's new governor is leading a campaign to force the tribes to pay 25% of what they earn on sovereign Indian land. Fifteen years ago the tribes agreed to pay from 6-10%. Gov. Kevin Stitt, unsurprisingly a man with a history of business corruption, wishes to end that compact/treaty and take more.

That's just to let you know that even in 2019 the white men won't cut their shit out and you can never trust them at their word. 

White man's lust for what the Indian has never ever ends.

Anyway, in 1890 Indian Territory became Oklahoma Territory to denote it was no longer for Indians.

In 1907 it became the State of Oklahoma. There's even a Broadway musical and movie about it.

Never shown in any romantic musical production are the weeping and starving Indians, who had once again lost everything they had to the white man. 

Indian Territory, the end of the Trail of Tears, became the love story of Laurey and Curly.

I am Iksa' Shawi' (Raccoon Clan). That has historical significance to this story as well. 

In pre-colonizer times, the Mayan salt traders came to the Southeast on long established trade routes. 

They wore the raccoon hats you associate with Daniel Boone - the legendary frontiersman of Kentucky and the Southeastern Woodlands.

To be fair, Daniel Boone wasn't as nearly bad to the Indian as others were. Still, give the hat back, Danny. Not your clan. 

As the Mayan salt traders married into the Southeastern Woodlands tribes, special clans were named in their honor. Their wearing of the raccoon hat made them an obvious pick to be called the Raccoon Clan - Iksa' Shawi' in Chickasaw.  

I am a descendant of such a clan.

On Saturday I watched my people be gunned down in another massacre.

I saw children weeping at being separated from their families, while they were at school, reminding me of my grandmother and uncles being taken to residential schools and never seeing their mother again.

This isn't a matter of immigration. This is about right and wrong.

Isn't it funny how white men have set up all their laws to guard their stolen land? And how all whites sit around debating those laws and how they're to be enforced? Republican or Democrat you are still deciding where Indigenous can be.

This is a matter of continuing Indigenous relocation, which is part of genocide. 

Those Indigenous rounded up in Mississippi belonged there.

Those Indigenous gunned down in Texas, because a white man considered them invaders, belonged there.

So, as you whites debate immigration, we Indigenous continue to be at the mercy of your guns, as seen in El Paso, & your government soldiers, as seen in the ICE raids.

You've changed nothing. You still possess Indigenous land. You still keep the Indigenous from their homeland. You still massacre the Indigenous.

Stop debating our existence and our right to dwell on our land.

Stop laughing in delight as we die and are rounded up again.

Today, August 7th, President Donald J. Trump, who many are blaming for radicalizing the monster who massacred Indigenous People in El Paso, visited both that city and Dayton, Ohio where another mass shooting occurred.

Leave it to the extremely low-class MAGAs to turn a memorial in Dayton for a combined 31 dead victims into a tacky celebration of the egotistical, white nationalist Trump.

Again, this was for a memorial for shooting victims.

Meanwhile, in El Paso, Thomas Bertram of Sugar Land, TX, showed up armed with a gun and knife, wearing latex gloves, terrorizing people. His truck was covered in Trump fandom, like the flag seen in Dayton. Police let him go, because he hadn't started shooting yet.

St. Louis Rabbi Susan Talve Culturally Appropriated Sacred Indigenous Practice During Fort Sill Visit

This is a follow up story to a broader one dealing with the serious disrespect the St. Louis Jewish Community showed to Native Americans on their day trip to the Fort Sill Army Base in Oklahoma, which was at one time a concentration camp where many Indigenous suffered and died.  

Whether it's doing a tomahawk chop, donning a war bonnet for Halloween, going to a New Age sweat lodge, or more, the Indigenous are often subjected to the racist practice of cultural appropriation.

That theft of our ways often greatly disrespects the sacred traditions the first inhabitants of this land have held for thousands of years.

Rabbi Susan Talve - seen in the video above waving around a sage smudge stick during her visit to Oklahoma - has a website where she proclaims:

Rabbi Susan Talve is the founding rabbi of Central Reform Congregation, the only Jewish congregation located within the City limits of St. Louis. When other congregations were leaving the city for the suburbs, Rabbi Talve joined with a small group to keep a vibrant presence in the city to be on the front line of fighting the racism and poverty plaguing the urban center.  Today she performs life cycle events, leads worship services for the seven hundred fifty plus households that comprise the congregation, and is actively involved in the teaching of young and adult members. She also teaches courses on Jewish life and thought and in both the Jewish and non-Jewish communities.

Rabbi Talve has led her congregation in promoting radical inclusivity by developing ongoing relationships with African-American and Muslim congregations, and by fostering civil liberties for the LGBTQ community.  Today CRC serves as a home to generations of LGBTQ families and to many Jews of color of all ages.  She has performed same gender marriages since she arrived in St. Louis in 1981 and was on the first Marriage Equality bus to Iowa where she married her first legal couple and has since had the privilege of marrying more LGB& T couples than she can count! The core value of radical hospitality has made CRC a safe home for many individuals and groups that have been marginalized, including the opportunity to serve as a site for and support the ordination of Roman Catholic Womenpriests in 2007.  As part of a committed pro-choice congregation, Rabbi Talve continues to stand on the front line of abortion and reproductive rights issues.

Her heart seems to be in the right place, but note there is no mention of any work she's done with the Indigenous or an explanation as to why she feels qualified to engage in leading Native American religious practices.

Indian Way is not her way and she has no right to pretend it is. 

Cultural appropriation is a method of a dominant group (usually whites) stealing from a minority culture. Those of us living under colonial rule suffered the loss of much of our culture, as tribes were wiped out or Indigenous children had the Indian beat out of them at assimilation school. Even today they still bulldoze our sacred sites and upend the graveyards of our ancestors. What practices we managed to get through to modern times have now been taken and sanitized so that whimsical whites can play cut-out Indian.

Sacred religious ceremony, not a New Age gimmick.

Those practices are sacred to us. They're not for entertainment. Believe me, no matter one's motivations, they're not honoring our ways by lessening them or deciding their racial superiority allows them the right to appropriation.

Whites took everything from us. Now, they want to take our prayers.

The use of sage is a very sacred practice of SOME Indigenous People. Rabbi Talve cheapened that sacred practice, which is a serious offense.

The burning of a sage smudge stick in and of itself is not Native American. It's a practice for specific tribes. We're many nations. In Oklahoma alone, there are 39 federally-recognized tribal nations, all with their own ways.  Some prohibit the use of sage altogether. Some use cedar. Others the herbs found within the areas they originally populated.

One wonders if the rabbi believes all Indians lived in tipis and hunted buffalo too.

First Nations and the Indigenous have diverse customs according to their own beliefs and traditions. They're as varied as the wide land they reside on. From one end of Europe to the other, cultures are different. So too are they with the Indigenous here. Yet many want to lump them all into being identical. based on something they saw on a television western or came across at a New Age fair.

They live on this land, but can't be bothered to learn about the very people they took it from. Such is their feeling of white supremacy.   

What Rabbi Talve did was engage in a racist stereotype. She couldn't be bothered to talk to the Indigenous in the heart of Indian Country about if what she planned to do was correct and allowable. The rabbi committed a serious faux pas. I can't say for certain she has ever been around Indigenous before. She and her group certainly managed to avoid them during their visit to Indian Territory.

Were they sincere about learning Indian Way they were in the right place to do it. The Indigenous concentration around Lawton/Fort Sill is pretty thick.

In fact, a great many religious leaders, including medicine men and women, could've been invited to do the ceremony correctly and in regard to tradition.

Tactless Talve never afforded them that opportunity or respect.

The Comanche Nation headquarters is just a few miles north of Fort Sill. They would've graciously sent someone qualified to do the ritual. The Fort Sill Apache Tribe (who barely survived the concentration camp) was near them too. As were the Kiowa, Wichita, Delaware, Lanape, and Caddo. Further north, they could've called in the strong medicine of the Cheyenne and Arapaho.

It's damn hard to avoid the Indigenous in the area. You pretty much have to go out of your way to do so.

It does appear the rabbi came across a few Indigenous, who should've directed her to respect our ways. Perhaps they weren't around during her sage burning or they could've steered her to the understanding that what she was doing was wrong.

However, that would be unlikely. The way of the Indigenous isn't always to correct the white man. That can be dangerous. Some feel it's better to let slights go. Just as some found it easier to speak English than have one's fingernails pulled out by a nun or priest.

Now, wouldn't it have been beneficial for all had a Jewish rabbi invited the descendants of those who were interred at the fort's concentration camp to come do the sacred ceremony?

Almost unbelievably, Rabbi Talve cheapened a very sacred practice near the hallowed grounds of a concentration camp.

Being a religious leader for a people accustomed to such camps, you'd think she'd have known  better.

While waving the smudge stick around, Talve shouted a false definition of the practice. She maybe got that definition off the package, as it was stunning in its inaccuracy.

The Indigenous, who practice smudging (an Anglo term), do so as a form of prayer and blessing.

It's a purification act for people and places. It can also be used as a form of exorcism to repel bad spirits and influences. Eagle feathers and pipes are purified by the burning smoke.

Buying a spiritual medicine is highly taboo among most the Indigenous. When you buy a commercial smudge stick to mimic an Indigenous religious act, you've committed a horrible offense.

Further, those commercial smudge sticks are never going to measure up to what the Indigenous regard in a ceremonial burning. A lot goes into it. As many of those commercial bundles often include other herbs than sage, it should not be burned for ceremony. The herbs may not be native to this land, it may not be the right sage, it may not have been properly harvested. It may not have been collected by a religious leader entrusted by a tribe to do so.

It certainly can not have been purchased at a New Age shop and waved about haphazardly by someone not considered to hold the appropriate position to practice the ritual. Many tribes restrict the practice to only those who have gone through their own purification process and been deemed fit to carry it out. Among many, the smoke should first purify the one welding the bundle.

Talve did not come anywhere close to properly conducting the sacred act.

She committed blasphemy...or at least the Indigenous form of it.

The racially insensitive Rabbi Talve needs to lose her New Age books and learn some respect for the Indigenous People on whose stolen land she walks.

For a person whose own religion has been oppressed and whose own people have faced genocide like the Indigenous have, you'd think she'd know better.

Talve, go rub your crystals or prepare for Passover. Our ways are not yours, nor are they yours to steal and disrespect. Just don't worry about us Injuns going to Auschwitz and pulling the crap you did here. We're better than that.

New Texas Political Party Is Secretly a White Knights of the KKK Operation Out to Dupe the Public

UPDATE: Hate Trackers has an informant that travels the Texas Klan circles, who has now revealed to us that the KKK chose to co-opt a long established secessionist group called the Texas Nationalist Movement (TNM) in hopes of deceiving the public down the line into thinking they're one and the same. The plans are to promote the Texas Nationalist Party, as the political arm of the movement. The reality is the TNP has no connections to the TNM.  

This is a con game. We've alerted the TNM, who want to make Texas an independent nation, to the scheme.

On Monday, we'll be contacting the Texas state attorney general's office in regards to what is turning out to be an outright fraud being committed by the KKK.

A new third-party political group that plans a Make Texas Great Again gathering on August 10th in New Boston, Texas, is in reality an operation by the Ku Klux Klan to secretly gain new members and financial support, while staying hidden behind their hoods.

The Texas Nationalist Party (TNP) describes itself as:

The Texas Nationalist Party is a new political party started by Texans for Texans. It was formed March 02, 2019 on Texas Independence Day. We are a new third-party solution dedicated to the Texas people. We revolve around political, social, and economic empowerment of the Texas people. We are determined that the Texas Nationalist Party will become the leading party in Texas politics to MAKE TEXAS GREAT AGAIN. We are against the Rhino and Socialist that wish to destroy Texas and turn it into another California nightmare. We are making a stand to fight against over taxation, horrific crimes, and the flood of the third world invaders.

It's an exact address match for the Texas White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

The address match was discovered using the book Terrorism: From One Millennium to the Next By Arthur E. Gerringer. On Page 78, the author, who has thirty years of counterintelligence and counterterrorism experience and research, shows that same post office box as being used by the Klan.

Located in northeast Texas, DeKalb is a long-standing Klan stronghold where they march openly and often. 

We, also, found evidence of their discussing the event on Stormfront.org, a notorious white supremacist site.

The Triple Seven design is from the South African neo-Nazi separatist political and paramilitary organization known as Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging.

Admission that the Texas Nationalist Party is about racial purity. 

While they disguise the fact that they're secretly a white supremacist group, the TNP plan to market their propaganda to unsuspecting Texans, who may end up financially supporting the KKK, while under the impression it's just a patriotic and pro-Trump group.

The TNP is trying to lure the unsuspecting public along with their money by pitching a platform claiming what they're about is ending property taxes, stopping illegal immigration, enacting new death penalty laws, ending abortion, and promoting Constitutional Carry.

They're, also, asking the public to become dues-paying members of the political party. Further, the TNP is demanding people turn over copies of official identification, which would put many at risk of identity theft or at least provide the KKK with some very private information on the people they've tricked into joining.

They require applicants to submit a blank money order, which is a major red flag that you're about to get conned and someone is laundering money.

Their platform is bait that may just catch a lot of pro-Trump citizens, who'll never realize they've become part of the Ku Klux Klan and that their hard-earned money is really going into the coffers of the infamous domestic terrorist organization - an organization that has committed well over 3,000 murders. 

Being the Klan, they do love peppering communities with flyers.

The TNP is encouraging people to print out and distribute such flyers. Obviously, they do this without mentioning it's a KKK flyer. It allows the white supremacists to reach out to a wider audience, draw in new dues-paying members, and not have to spend a penny or put out any effort, as they're hoodwinking others into doing it all for them.

The Texas Nationalist Party wants to encourage its members and supporters to get involved in their local communities. We want our members to spread the “Make Texas Great Again” message in all corners of Texas. The T.N.P. cannot grow without your help. We can’t do it alone. It’s going to take every single one of us to reach out to millions of people across Texas.

How can you do this? It’s easy and fun. Print off T.N.P. fliers at the bottom of this page. Take it to a local print shop and for approximately $20.00 you can print over 200 fliers. Fliers are a good way to build local connections with people in your town or next city.

Become a local T.N.P. leader. We are a new movement that is growing every day. We need strong and intelligent leaders to help organize local chapters, events, meetings, gatherings and rallies.

We encourage our members to find local Patriot groups and like-minded individuals to invite them to T.N.P. gatherings.

Telling your friends and family is a big impact. Many people do not know that they are a Nationalist, so it’s our job to tell them.

New Boston, Texas, where the TNP is planning to hold their August 10th meet and greet, is a town of about 5,000. It's just twelve miles away from DeKalb.

New Boston is home to the United White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. Whereas, the White Knights of Texas are based in DeKalb. The possibility exists both groups are working together in this.

On VK, a Russian social networking site used by white supremacists, we discovered the TNP and it's gathering to be heavily promoted by user Warrior Girl, who, also, posts the usual racist and anti-semitic tropes.

  

White Saviors: When the Lone Ranger and Miss Millie Fight Tonto at the Gates of the Fort

Note: People of Color will understand the performative white saviorism expressed by the Heartland for Human Justice event. Those not of color may not yet be in a place to recognize the systemic racism. Consider this a lesson in not using the mid-20th Century liberalism of championing PofC causes, while avoiding People of Color.

• This is about how people who perceive themselves to be allies can actually be causing harm. 
• This is about coming in after People of Color have already won a huge victory by keeping a concentration camp from opening and implying that the way they did it was wrong, so the whites have come to do it better.
• This is about standing for People of Color, but making sure you don't have to talk to or be around them.
• This is about calling yourself a liberal or progressive without being accountable to the less privileged, who you claim to be an ally of. 
• This is about bragging on a microphone about taking socks to the border, because to PoC that comes off, as "We're so good to the colored children we're going to give them socks. Can I get a round of applause?"
• This is about planning a march to protest migrant concentration camps then deciding it's too hot to march, so you and your white privilege will just get back on the bus and ride there instead.
• This is about complaining how arduous your day trip on an air conditioned bus was, while  forgetting your action was to be about families being separated after walking thousands of miles across dangerous terrain seeking asylum.
• This is about doing the least you should be doing as a decent human being and expecting laurels for not putting any effort into it.
• This is about how you haven't a clue as to how insensitive you are.

July 20, 2019: March to Stop a Concentration Camp

After a summer of organizing and taking action over the intention to reopen the Fort Sill concentration camp to migrant children, 500+ protesters showed up at the gates of the Fort Sill Army Base in Oklahoma. 

The force included many Indigenous, Black Lives Matters activists, descendants of Japanese-Americans once held in the camp, a dozen monks, and several authentic white allies.

The group marched towards the army base blocking traffic before blocking access to the base.

They proceeded to peacefully, yet loudly, proclaim "NEVER AGAIN!"

With great passion leaders spoke from their hearts and experience against the arrest of asylum seekers, separation of families, and the horrible conditions children were living in at similar camps.

There were many there whose families had experienced the terrors of a Fort Sill concentration camp.

"NEVER AGAIN!" they demanded.

Going back over a century, Fort Sill has been used repeatedly as a concentration camp for People of Color. First, it was Native Americans, then during WWII they interred Japanese-Americans - now the plan was to separate children from their parents at the Southern Border and house them at the base.

The only potential for violence came from a white man that showed up with a pistol, a knife, a MAGA ball cap, and a Trump flag.

Unarmed People of Color made sure he didn't hurt anyone.

No one was arrested. There were no physical encounters. The message made its point.

In the end, they were successful.

In less than a week, Oklahoma's U.S. senators announced Fort Sill would not be used to imprison migrant children.


August 1, 2019: Miss Millie Tour 2019

And then a couple of busloads of out-of-staters came to show the People of Color the white way of doing things.

They wanted it known that their action wasn't going to be anything like what those People of Color had done. No disruptions, no hollering, no being rowdy, no blocking traffic. Civilized! Not savage! 

There would be no coming off the reservation or plantation uprising on their watch. You'll be good fort Indians...just be good fort Indians waaaaayyyyyyy over there.

This is going to be strictly Kum ba yah, mother fuckers! 

They call themselves Heartland for Human Justice.

They've been around for about a month.

Before even starting this morning, they made it clear that they would not be behaving like *those other people did* or so to speak. They made that clear to the press. Down further, you'll find out exactly what they said.

They claimed to be members of several organizations: Jewish Community Relations Council of St. Louis (JCRC), National Council of Jewish Women St. Louis, Central Reform Congregation, and Women's Voices Raised For Social Justice.

What they were, however, were a collection of middle-class Miss Millies on a day trip to cos play social justice warriors. Obviously, some of the Miss Millies were men.

They were aware that victory had already been won by the People of Color, who had devoted more than a bus trip to defeating the proposal. 

After achieving victory and making sure the camp wouldn't open, Oklahoma organizers sure didn't like seeing this group show up for their watered down protest. Such things, can actually harm. If you've agreed to not do something, but people keep showing up to tell you not to do it, you may throw up your hands and do it out of spite.

There was no valid reason for them to come to Fort Sill and protest an issue that had already been resolved. They could have gone to one of the many places that are still in play. 

This showed that they aren't really serious about tackling the issue.

The Indigenous have been dealing with these things for 527 years, but Heartland for Human Justice have been at it a whole whopping month, so clearly they know how to do it better. After all, they're white. 

Their Facebook page was created on July 9, 2019, so you know they're experts.

Heartland for Human Justice admitted they'd learned from the media that there would be no camp, as not once were they ever in contact with a single PoC activist or organization who were leading efforts in Oklahoma to have found that out. 

The St. Louis group didn't just come in stepping on toes they came in stomping on feet and putting at risk a hard-fought win.

Even though there was not going to be a camp at Fort Sill, they'd already purchased tickets aboard their charted buses, so decided they'd come anyway.

They crept in on two buses with picnic baskets and sun hats. 

The hats were not enough, as they cancelled their march, because it was too hot. One can't march to save caged children if the weather isn't cooperating! 

And they were there to champion the Indigenous, as long as the Indigenous weren't anywhere near them. 

They didn't invite any Indigenous, including migrant families, who know about Fort Sill. Nor did they work with the Japanese-Americans with similar experiences at that camp.

No, they had all the answers ready. After all, they're white.

Gathering at a Lawton Methodist church, most sat or stood in the shade, while speakers lifelessly read from prepared speeches, as white hands held signs of sad-looking brown children.

They may actually be moved to help brown children - in a Sally Struthers tear jerker sort of way - but there was no passion in them. They should've stayed home and whipped out a $15 check with the actual effort they were putting into this.

There was no speaking from the heart, as heard at the PoC actions where there were people with something to lose. 

One woman even got up to the microphone and gave out a bunch of attaboys, including how they had socks to give to the migrant children. Socks! Were they out of pennies to toss into the cages?

This is where some of our white readers are scratching their heads wondering what's wrong with that. 

There's nothing wrong with giving socks to children. There is, however, a huge problem with your motivations in doing it, how you present it, and how you want to be praised for giving some goddamn socks to poor colored kids. 

These are human children. It's not a pet rescue. They were dehumanizing migrants.

The top weapon of a white savior is to take away dignity from People of Color and pat themselves on the back, while doing it. Don't make a big deal of giving socks to poor brown children. Just talk about it on the bus, collect them, and very graciously deliver them.  

Don't spend more time talking about the sacrifices you had to make riding a bus to Oklahoma, than you do discussing the migrants, whose journey was quite harsh.

Otherwise you're Miss Millie.

I've always been good to you people.

Just don't touch me.
Just don't make me mad.
Just don't step out of place.
Just do it the white way.

Now let me on that bus. It's hot.
Take me home, Sofia. 

Then they sang 'We Shall Overcome' and got on the buses to go to the fort where they stood at the gate with signs, took several photos, then boarded the buses to go back to St. Louis.

That took a staggering 15 minutes.

Their presence at Fort Sill was a quarter of an hour.

Did they even look for the stockade where so many perished? Did they say prayers in front of the haunted cells where captives died in misery? They spoke of Geronimo, but did they pay their respects at his grave? Did they go to the nearby Comanche and Apache tribal offices to hear the stories of the camp? Did they know that the road they took - Sheridan - is named after General Philip H. Sheridan, who arrived in the area with the 7th US Cavalry and Lieutenant Colonel George A. Custer in 1868 to start rounding up Indians?

It's was like walking up to the gates of Auschwitz, taking a quick photo to post on Facebook, and leaving.

Not once did they show respect to the people they claimed to be championing.

Smile big for the concentration camp. No reverence required.

There was no sincerity within these people. They were on an outing. An outing they could use for bragging rights back at the supper club.

Have no doubt there are multitudes of legitimate allies, who are sincere in their being SUPPORTIVE to Indigenous issues. They know their role is to follow, not lead.

None of them showed up. They probably knew better. 

The migrants need allies. Sincere and passionate and risk-taking allies. Brave people willing to put themselves in danger to redress a wrong. People that understand you don't push the Indigenous People out of the way and take charge of their problems. Those who understand that white supremacy is played out, when whites tell PofC how they're supposed to behave in solving their problems.

But these were day trippers. People who clearly had no desire to be around those affected by immigration, but instead wanted to play liberal and impress each other over how much of a difference they were making. 

They were Miss Millie - the grande dame of white saviors.

The few men there thought themselves Lone Rangers, possibly. They'd go to the fort and save the Indians from the cavalry and black hats.

Yes, the Lone Ranger, would ride in to save the day, but only after sending Tonto into town to get his ass whooped first. Every damn episode! Kemo sabe my ass.

White saviors.

The Miss Millies were careful to sidestep the Indians. They made damn sure they weren't ever in any danger of coming across a real-life Native American or migrant.

Originally, the Miss Millies planned to march to Fort Sill. However, they decided it was too hot, so they took their air conditioned bus instead. One doesn't really want to put yourself out much doing social justice cos play.

Miss Millie-in-charge Rori Neiss, the executive director of the Jewish Community Relations Council, assured local reporters they weren't going to get out of hand - the "Like those darkies" was unsaid, but implied.

To KSWO Neiss said, "We’re not anticipating getting rowdy at all. We are going to stand outside Ft. SIll, sing some songs, have some chants, and have our voices heard. It will be respectful, calm, and we don't plan on getting in any trouble."

"For those people who don’t want to block a highway, for those people who don’t want to put themselves on the line to be arrested, that’s not an excuse to still not speak out. We can still have a voice, even if it’s not a voice of disruption," she added.

Heartland for Human Justice - for people unwilling to put themselves on the line.

After their mini-action at the fort, the group boarded their buses to talk about their valiant efforts and post on social media how significant they were.

Forgotten were the children in cages and families walking thousands of miles to safety. No, instead the Miss Millies were exhausted from their Lewis and Clark expedition into the wild land of the Indian.

Posting on Facebook Neiss spoke of the rise of her measured-in-minutes protest.

"At about hour five of our almost ten-hour bus ride home (excluding breaks) and I am feeling simultaneously full and drained, energized and expended, hope-filled and mournful.

"As I think back to that first meeting just a little over a month ago, I am in awe of the women who sat around the table and asked “What can we do?!” and began to dream. We were representatives of the Jewish Community Relations Council of St. Louis (JCRC), National Council of Jewish Women St. Louis, Central Reform Congregation, and Women's Voices Raised For Social Justice. Today we are Heartland for Human Justice: almost twenty five organizations that span missions, religious affiliations, audience and clientele, and so much more. We are over 100 people that include Rabbis, ministers, priests, and nuns; city and state representatives from Missouri and Oklahoma; retired adults, college students, those who took two days off work to be present, and teens.

"To be clear, it was an astonishing experience. Two buses filled with people have given up two days to spend over 20 hours on a bus to stand in Lawton, OK and recall the history of Native people, Japanese-Americans, and migrants whose blood saturate the land. Together we read the names of those who died in US custody since the new policy of detention has been enacted. We told their stories. And we proclaimed our collective responsibility for all of those who step into this land. And with that, now we return home. The policy still remains. And we sit on the bus unfulfilled, not yet knowing our full role in the collective narrative that is still unfolding."

The rabbi used "we" five times in that last paragraph. Five times.

We, we, we, we, we. Me, me, me, me, me.

This is where the insensitive part really irks.

They selfishly made it about them and their feelings. To hell with the children in cages! Do you know how hard we, we, we, we, we have it on this bus and how bad we, we, we, we, we feel?

Hey, lady, the Indigenous of the Southeast took the Trail of Fucking Tears coming here and lost thousands of lives along the way. You rode the interstate on a comfortable charter bus, refused to march a mile in the heat, and you want to bitch about how draining that is? You never even bothered visiting the stockade where many Indians, who were marched to the fort from Mexico and Arizona, died of starvation, disease, and...the weather. And do you have any idea how long a walk it is from the Honduras to the U.S. border where you're going to get tear gassed? 

Repeat after me: You are not the victim. You did not have an arduous journey. You didn't die at that fort. Instead, you lived to whine about your day trip via Facebook on your air conditioned bus trip home instead. Many never got to go home. Many only got to bury their dead.

Grow the hell up and keep your bored retirees at home.

The next outing for Heartland for Human Justice is on August 17th where they plan to support the "immigrant community and refugee population" at the MaTovu Supper Club - home of Yoga with Julia.
